Double Luck is read by students and used in classrooms - generally 5th and 6th grades - along with the Teacher Guidelines outlined elsewhere on this site. The childrens' responses have been gratifying. Some of the artwork and excerpts from their letters are included here for your enjoyment. Many thanks to all who wrote and shared their talents with us.

Excerpts From Letters to Lu Chi Fa From Students

From Cody: I think your life was pretty hard. But you were always brave. I loved how you turned every bad thing into a good thing. I loved your book. From Kyle: From this book I have learned to be courageous in every thing that I do. I have also learned to forgive people when they do something to me.

From Madison: I absolutely loved your book! It was very exciting! I respect you as a writer and as a person. Sister was right, good fortune did find you! From Jackie: Our 6th grade class has just finished reading your book. Throughout it, I was on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next! Do you have any regrets, and if you had the chance would you have done anything differently? Reading your book made me realize how great my life is.
